This is a story of Gopi and Noah. They live and work in two distant locations on the planet, in different time zones. They also come from different cultures and different “local” contexts. They organize land and community regeneration projects where they live, all the time acutely aware of the dire state of the planetary ecosystems. Feeling not as understood in what calls for coherent action on a planetary scale and often feeling stagnant, they bond with others like them using modern communication technology. That’s how they met – remotely, in an online, virtual space. Communicating by typing and on video calls, Gopi said “Let’s do this, this way.” Noah responded, “Let’s do that, that way.” There were others in that space, some confused and some with equally clear ideas on what and how. Everyone had a similar experience, not seen, not heard and not valued – to be in collaboration. Conversations drag on for months and years, people drop out, until there is silence (again) – communication is dead! .
If you identify with Gopi or Noah in wanting to contribute, to facilitate the movement beyond our cultures and differences, then this workshop is for you.
We invite you and your experiences to join us into a dialogue of how we might create conditions in our environments to include who we are, what ideas and beliefs we are to bring in fostering a culture of inviting dialogue.
ALL will be seen, ALL will be heard and ALL will be honored.
Join us and nourish all that you are seeking and more! You will walk away with a learning experience to take forward in designing inclusive spaces with your teams, your relationships and your collaborations.
