    Hi Noaidi
Very interested to read your celebrate – mourn – celebrate observation. I, too, was an early TT trainer. Naresh and Sophy came to Australia is 2008 and I was part of that training group. A few of us set up Transition Sydney Hub, Transition Bondi thrived for awhile but in time, I think everything just fizzed. I am VERY interested in your observations about why things don’t continue? How it is we start then endeavours fade away or collapse?
I am part of a new-ish initiative in my small area of the northern beaches of Sydney now. We formed about 2 years ago in response to (in part) lockdown and food security issues. We are still going but all of the practical projects that were initiated (food preserving, community garden, a community OF gardens connecting our various backyards and sharing produce, food foraging, etc) have faded. All that seems to remain are the initiatives that the core initiating group (4 of us) keep hosting. A monthly event of sharing food and perhaps showing an inspiring film or inspiring speaker. This despite having done a whole visioning, co-creation and priority identification workshop with our community over a year ago.
What happens? What can we learn from this and how can we adjust how we be or act to have a thriving, ACTIVE group? I am so concerned that history is repeating itself.
    Interested in your thoughts?
    Hatchy
